Holiday Chat
How it came to be!

When Holiday Chat was a idea in my mind it was
a nice place for people to share Holiday Ideas, Crafts, Recipes, Traditions, Jokes, basically anything to do with ANY Holiday.
There were a couple lists that focused on one holiday and I
thought we need one for ALL of them. I also thought and Hoped that Friendships would be made and maybe that would
fill the gap in between the Holidays.
Hence the reason off topic posts are always welcome.

I really thought about it and talked with some people
and decided Alright I'm going to do it. We had a rough start
with Coolist and I moved the server over to Eosoft.
In September of 97 Holiday Chat was born and started to take off.

Any of you that know me can bet I'm getting sniffly here. :)

The people that we have on this list has made it something
that surpassed the idea in my mind. I have never seen
such a mix of people with such great ideas, sense of humor,
different backgrounds, and all at different stages of their lives.
Get along and show such caring and respect for one another.
I've been on different lists and this one amazes me.
There have been times when I seen a topic come up and thought.
I'm turing this thing off.... I've seen it a million times and
this is flame material. I come back later and nothing
there were posts but none were flames just each persons ideals
on that subject. Each one respected just as it should be.
I sit here with amazement and tears in my eyes
just like a proud Mom.

Some people I brought with me from another great list
the Country list. Friends I met there and helped me
to get this one rolling. Others have found there way by themselves.
Each one is very special and bring themselves
and something unique to HC. Just as new people come
and end up bring themselves to HC.

You all are very special to me and thank you from the bottom of my heart for making Holiday Chat more than I ever thought it could be. I hope we always have HC and the friendships that have been made here!!

To that person who talked to me (both pros and cons of a list)
and helped me decide to do this. Thank you soooo much.
You know who you are. You are very special to me and
always have this knack for making me believe
that I can do things even when I think I can't.
